These bars don't replace your main lamp: they solve a problem no main lamp can. A lamp hung above a crop lights the top of the canopy, and that's all. The upper leaves intercept the light, and everything growing beneath lives in the plant's own shade. On a dense crop or a well-developed plant, the lower half of the foliage has almost stopped working.

This is what's called inter-canopy lighting: slim bars installed inside or along the sides of the crop, sending light where the lamp above can't reach. The lower leaves go back to producing instead of yellowing and being abandoned by the plant, and total yield rises without having to change the main lamp. The same set also works simply as supplemental light in the corners of a tent, where intensity always drops off relative to the centre.

The mounting is designed to be improvised: the 360° rotating spacers on the clips let you aim each bar exactly where it's needed — up, down, at an angle — and the set ships with what you need to fasten them almost anywhere: clips, straps, Velcro and ties. The 70 cm leads at both ends of each bar leave latitude to place them far apart.
