The narrow format, and it does a job the square tents don't. A hundred and forty centimetres wide by only seventy deep: it flattens against a wall, it fits in a closet, it takes up the length of a basement wall without pushing into the room. When floor space is the real problem, it's often the only tent that fits.
What it actually does: complete control over light. Inside, day length is what you program, not what February hands you. The reflective inner wall sends back toward the plants the light that would be lost on the room's walls, the enclosure holds humidity, keeps dust and insects at bay, and stops the lamp from lighting the whole basement.
This size in particular: the shallow depth makes it the ideal format for working on shelves rather than in pots on the floor. Two levels of seedling or microgreen trays across the full width, each with its own light bar, and you have a complete spring nursery in a 0.98 m² footprint. It's also the right pick for growing low plants in rows — lettuces, herbs, young greens — where the 200 cm of height serves to stack rather than to let things climb. Conversely, it's not the format for large fruiting plants: seventy centimetres of depth is tight as soon as a plant spreads.
Construction: made of durable, weather-resistant Oxford 1680D fabric. The number is the denier, the linear mass measure of the fibre: 1680D is a heavy grade, the same order as luggage and tool bags.
