We receive a lot of messages about fall garlic, so here are the answers to the three most common questions 🧄

When should fall garlic be planted? With the changing climate and warmer September temperatures, it is best to plant it in late October, once the soil temperature has stabilized at around 10–12°C. The goal is to give the garlic time to develop a strong root system before the ground freezes in winter while preventing excessive leaf growth beforehand.

How many cloves are there in each bulb? On average, our fall garlic has about 9–12 cloves per bulb.

Why are the one- and five-bulb sizes no longer available? We are all very busy processing orders, so this helps reduce the number of messages Sarah has to send because too many people were ordering them by Lettermail. If you would like some, we can add them to an existing order that is shipping by Expedited Parcel.

Let us know if you have any other questions 💚
